MGB tells us
'Another stalwart member for many years. Although he was a regular on most matches, I don't remember him winning a trophy, but he never complained about anything and was always happy to turn up and enjoy his fishing.
One year he came within a whisker of winning the Club Champion trophy but was pipped on the last match.
I was so disappointed for him I secretly arranged for a "Runners Up" trophy to be awarded to him at the Presentation Night. His face was a picture! He now has the honour of holding a one off trophy that was never repeated in the history of Cashmores.'
Nice one MGB

Now I realise why for some reason there was 'runner up' listed for this year in the archives
