So its Russia then...........
It's at times like this that I feel glad to have had the pleasure of watching England win The World Cup in 66.
I think that this vote should be taken as an open invitation for the Press and Media to instigate a prolonged period of in intense investigative journalism to expose corruption within FIFA leaving no stone unturned.

So its Russia then...........
2004 – Warner requests that Scottish Football Association President John McBeth make the cheque for the match fee for the Scotland vs Trinidad & Tobago friendly be made payable to him instead of the FA of Trinidad & Tobago.
2006 – Warner short-changes the Trinidad & Tobago national team of their previously agreed World Cup bonus, leading to Shaka Hislop writing to him and saying that: ‘You have continually proven yourself heavily biased and opinionated in this matter.’
2006 – Warner makes a personal profit of more than $1 Million for re-selling his allocation of World Cup tickets.
2006-2010 – Warner makes a series of anti-English comments to any news organisation that will listen – highlights including:
‘England invented the sport but has never made any impact on world football’
‘Nobody in Europe likes England’
‘For Europe, England is an irritant’

Lets all hope our nation fights back with a bang , like Mugger & TK have mentioned it looks like the English media are going for Blatter and his corrupt FIFA empire
Also Blatter and FIFA are so corrupt Switzerland where FIFA has its headquarters (zurich) has changed its laws to "acommadate" FIFA
The Whole FIFA bandwagon is so corrupt it is going to take a mighty effort to get close to them , lets hope someone succeeds ....... and maybe within our lifetimes we will see the german tw@t and his cronies behind bars !

I am lucky too cuz I can well remebeer the World Cup Final of 1966.
Despite keeping my youthful looks I am somewhat unluckily as I can remember the crappity smack Coronation also , hardly anyonone had tellies on those days.
Even more unlucky I can just about remember the gas mantles before we had electric fitted about a year before the Coronation.
I will never see England win the World Cup again, mind you none of us will
Stuff the Ozzies tonite, proper sport

TBH Joffie and Dodge at the mo I'm so wound up about this I hope we dont qualify (or even better still enter) and that we host our own coinciding tournament......... there's plenty of 'decent' teams that fail to qualify for every World Cups that might relish playing in England/Wembley.........
That's if they dont cowtail to Blatter and his FIFA cronies if told they they cant come to England
Like Mugger and Bill I saw the 66 tournament - wowed by Eusebio and co - plus that final victory...........just before the announcement yesterday I said to the gaffer 'If we dont get this I'll never see another WC in this country'
Havent heard any Aussie reaction to this yet ...........but I reckon they got shafted big time too

we got no chance as theres no way Mr Glazer, mr don't for get the back hander i paid for the world cup abranovich, mr Fred the arab, who ever owns israil spurs, and that bloke who owns arsenal (can't remember his name) will pull out of the European games. To do any thing we need a break away league consisting of the top prem clubs, the milan's, barsas, ect ect to form their own european tornament ect to pull the attraction and advertisers away from the the european cup ect.
The media (tv & news paper) stories had fcuk all to do with the votes. If you look on the other hand and we'd had lost out to staging it by 2 votes and these stories came out after the vote everyone would of been saying the stories only came out because of sour grapes.
