it was never gonna come to England. Even if the times hadn't of printed the story or if the BBC didn't show the program or blues hadn't played catch with the chairs with villa fans it wouldn't of come to England. England went out in the first round. Its simple, Blatter hates England so he will never do us any favours. Were as we have ALL the transport facilities already in place Russia have none, were as we have ALL our stadiums in place Russia have none, were we have ALL the training grounds in place Russia have none, its no wonder we lost out

Just 2 votes out of 22 and out in the first round, sounds a bit like the eurovision song voting to me. One of them votes was by our representative so that means we only got one other vote of another country

My gut reaction too Dodge

But I've come to the conclusion that it's not just restricted to football.

Radical, but perhaps instead of Empire building, withdraw from all world conflicts, close our borders to all unless we want them - eg essential trade supplies/imports.............. stop funding aid to all (when many of the recipients seemingly have no respect for us as a nation) and enter a period - say a decade or so - of isolation - similar to America in the 20s/30s.

Would we benefit as a nation during this period 'sorting' our own internal problems and leaving the world to theirs?

we never stood any chance as Platenie absolutely HATES the ENGLISH game and the premiership and Blatter HATES England full stop. With these 2 pr1cks in charge we will never stand any chance of anything. The pair of them are that out dated they still think we play with a pigs bladder. Blatter proved this with his views on goal line technology

Agree with all comments.

Still think it is a blessing in disguise though; wait and see what happens after the Olympics, it will break this country as it has done the last few venue countries. It all sounds rosy when these events are on but at what cost?

Anybody seen the figures from the Commonwealth Games in India?

Ask any Greek. They ain't paid for most of their stadia yet from their Olympics
