TK Grueller Match 10 - That's the last time.......
..........I listen to Heinzer
Rewind back a fortnight......
'Why dont you put one last grueller on before the Casmores matches start?'
'Aye I could do...........'
Well at least it was good practice for Marco MBC and Ryan H who are on Joffies grueller in the morning

Right lads, lets get this nightmare over and done with, cuss I’ve gorra pop out shortly and visit MrV and co down the local hospital. MrV is receiving therapy, Cotti is recovering in intensive care after slashing his wrists and several others have gone missing.........
15 rolled up for this, the last impromptu grueller in the series suggested by Heinzer. See, name and shame – you can all chuck him in the cut next week at Wheaton Aston – I aint taking the blame for this one............
The Milky Bar Kid was off white and was a late declared casualty, but his place was filled by Tony F who chanced his arm on the morning and rolled up to see if he could wet a line with us. Bet he wished he’d have stopped in bed..........
Batman and Robin – I mean MrV and Tricast - took care of the pegging and soon returned with the comment ‘Dont anyone moan about the long walks, we’ve left at least 30 yards between pegs’.
Casual thought to myself – perhaps thats where it all started going wrong..........perhaps the fish all backed off into the spaces between? Or perhaps the fish had moved from the section? Was it due to the incoming high air pressure? Or were they still there but just didn’t want to have a peck? Heinzer reported half way through this one that he’d fed his fish a few squats earlier in the week and his fish just didn’t wanna know and they had laid on the bottom for 3 days. I just don’t know – I’m wracking my brains over this one – just cant put my finger on why it was just so much of a grueller
Anyway I copped for a short walk peg – peg 5. Not exactly what I wanted, but I caught a few skimmers and roach off it earlier in the series and Choppymaster had framed from it last match under more sever conditions with a ruck load of micro silvers...........so it had a bit of form
And here it is............

Bait for the day was the white stuff – a banker for the silvers, along with some of Big Cols famous wriggly chicken sh!t worms . Last was some cormorant flavoured red squatt cadged off Cotti – but i wouldn’t be needing that would I – a couple of lb on the punch supplemented by a lb or 2 of kinvers on the chop – job sorted.
But as you all know by now – it never happened
So to please Joffie, biteless half way through I did wonder down the towpath and take a few pickies
Here’s Big Col on the next peg again. He’s now beginning to realize what a disaster it is drawing next to the Bum Draw Master
OBI the snottie catcher extraordinaire was next peg up.
Bagging machine Tricast62 – cant he draw a flyer or two – was on the marina and had snared a couple of early punch fish
Tavern Champ Buzza had also caught and gave it a big thumbs up.........dunno what for though
Was Tricast in again?
Not sure if Tony F was giving me a smile when I took this or was telling me to crappity smack off and never entice him into fishing a grueller again
Marko MBC wasn’t faring any better
Biggest surprise of the day was Big Baz – not sure if he’d nodded off, but he never moaned or told me to crappity smack off either
Blues4eva is always usually good for a couple of pound, but today was having the same sort of result as his footie team
RyanH was cussing his old man for bringing him along.......
And Choppymaster on end peg just could believe it either

I think this is close on the hardest grueller I can remember based on the collective weights
but that's fishing for you !! I suppose having days like this makes us all appreciated the good ones.
Thanks again for running another enjoyable series TK I always look forward to the gruellers and fantastic bunch of lads that fish them.
Hopefully catch up with you all on some of the curse matches

TK its time to fish commercials for silver fish mate mind-you you can't if they are frozen :-/i think my kit is going away next season in Jan and Feb Ive not enjoyed my fishing one bit.
although your matches make me feel a lot better i'm considering not evening going to the sensas final yesterday was the last straw i drew the same peg as i did in the summer when the boats opposite had a barbecue well they recognized me i know they have every right to be there but hanging over the boat telling me where they had fished the day before and then even throwing some maggots in to show me was the final straw i very nearly moved my peg out of the way so TK you'd better get me signed up it will be a pleasure fishing a grueller after that
marcko and manny said yesterday how bad it fished but still had a good laugh i hope they fish the 2nd division national as we are so we can join up again
