Don't forget the Soar Championship will be fished this Sunday March 2nd.

Draw at 8pm Anchor Inn Hathern. Fish 10 15 to 3.15 at Sutton Bonington. Entry fee £20 plus team optional event £10.

This is the first time the river has been at normal level since December so should be a great match.

Remind all your mates!

The wind will be against us again !! Down and at You !!!
I dont know the numbers we will be fishing, I hope not the teen's and twenty's as You could blank !! Rush bed to the 60's will be the area. I would take 63 now please for a big fish sketch, unless we go to the wires then for a second choice I would like the first peg below the wires for a few big bream kind of match.
A few roach from 62 down to 50 odd, but not enough to win currently unless roach sport improves rapid. To be fair most of us could not fish a pole in the 30's and 40's, but none the less not many roach caught on the tip, if any.
Finally I spoke to Pete Mulvey last week and He told me the enviroment agency had spent 1 million pounds on that drainage job, that never needed doing !!! Hardly a tree left and only a few years ago they moaned when we trimmed the willows for the pegs. They have ruined the look of that stretch, never mind the wildlife, what the **** were they thinking of !!! Anyway rant over, see You sunday but I do not think it will be roach soup, only for a few Mate.
