I have spoken with the Fishery and apart from no surface baits there dont seem to be many rules apart from keepnets, and even these appear to be a bit vague and changeable.

There is a strict 50lb net limit and fish over 7 ish lbs need to be weighed and returned. I will confirm on the saturday morning. ( It appears that you get different answers when you speak to the dad than when you ask the son)
Its almost certain we will have to do a midmatch weigh in as well depending on the weather on the day. I would suggest that you take a minimum of 4 carp friendly keepnets if you have them.
Also we need as many sets of scales availabe as we can get. I have the 2 sets of club scales plus another set of Avons so another 3 or 4 sets would be a great help.

Recent winning weights have been in excess of 500 lbs so it seems reasonable to expect a few fish to be caught.

As for breakfasts for Clive. Rosies cafe near Chelmsford has a good reputation , post code is CM2 8TG.
