any good jon
One screamer, two averages and two cess pits Im afraid! Not sure where i ended up as i had to rush off home to make a Fisho at Lake view the next day (thats another story ha ha!)
Day 1: Bad start with just 16lb odd off 44 on Trewaters for 5th. Watched the weights of this peg all week and dont think it ever broke 17lb. Compared notes with Andy May who drew it recently and even though youve got a nice edge (albeit steep) its a duffer. My performance: 2/10
Day 2: Flyer 40 on Porth for 23lb 12oz of roach and best venue weight of the week. My performance: 10/10
Day 3: 92lb off Bolingey 35 for 3rd but near impossible to beat Pemb's 135lb off 44 and Kieron's 170lb off peg 29 (with flyer end peg 27 not drawn as Mike Barlow had to go home for a funeral!) My performance: 8/10
Day 4: peg 41 on Pollawyn (again) which is arguably the worst peg in the section and one of worst on entire lake. Had 22lb of silvers and lost the only carp i hooked (a 4lb+ ghostie) at the net. Ended up 8th out of 9 and that lost fish cost me at least 3 places. I crappity smacking hate that peg! This is arguably the most uneven section on the lake as 103lb won it and 80lb was 2nd while the rest of us struggled for silvers - it really is that predictable. Incidentally, for anyone that thinks i draw flyers and knows Pollawyn my draws have been 6, 41, 52, 10 and 41. Of those, 52 is the only one id ever want to see again! My performance: 3/10
Day 5: 29 on Twin Oaks for 50lb and 3rd. 25 and 27 have been form pegs all week and was beaten by 27 who had 60lb+. End peg 35 not drawn and with the wind howling that way peg 33 won the lake as expected with 70lb. My performance: 7/10
Overall: must try harder!
Also, Ive lost my fishing mojo and am pretty sh!t at the moment. I dont think anyone would be too scared drawing next to me lately...
