Must have been them emtpy pegs you all had to your right   :D  :P
Seriously that's a good achievement  Image Image

Well my report will be very short because I didn't catch alot  :-/
Despite trying everything I could it just wasn't to be. Margin didn't produce. 5 meter line was crap, it produced my massive 3lb 8oz but was not consistant.
I even went out to those lillies and didn't even have a sniff. It was only about 1.5 - 2 foot deep out there at 13 meters  Image
I tried shallow on the caster thinking there will be a load of roach to be caught.... WRONG!! nowt  Image

You guys are the only ones that caught well which is a shame because that's adds up to crap match. I was expecting a good day but was sadly wrong. Could have been worse though I suppose. DNW would have been alot worse.
The whole place fished sh!t really, I have never seen so many glum faces after a match before lol   :D

I had a good laugh with HAHA on the next peg though  Image Image Cashmores number 1 clown for sure  :P
TK managed to pop down after his lyin and take some pictures. The Wedge also popped down after the match with his misses  Image

Enjoyable day because of the company  :) :)

Congrats again Wirley Wa*kers  Image Image Image Image

ok, here goes. 28 anglers..7 teams of 4 anglers from south staffs region on a venue that i thought was gonna be massive dog 6 finger shuffle. Fotunately ha ha managed to get hold of some worm and joker which simple saw as we were unloading. The team plan was to attack from the off and get as many fish in net as poss.my concentration was somehwat affected by an opponent oppsoite falling in as he dunked his bank stick into the silty bottom. i started poorly but eventually i hooked a beastie from what can only be described as an animal peg. it took a while and a lot of playing but i snared a near 10lb 2oz mirror into the net. News was filtering down that ha ha had also got a beastie into double figures, with TK reporting that zorro and heinze were doing well in their respective sections.wyrley winners????i then lost 2 real monsters in the snags to my right and then whilst tk watched had another monster on foul hooked this time which gave me a merry dance  and eventually snagged me about 25m away,my 13m section broke in process, i was peed off and decided enough was enough, 8lb maxima on and started well tench, another tench, a big skimmer and another tench, then came the shock in 2 successive drop outs on the meat i got seen off by absolute monsters, snapping maxima like cotton. i knew if i got 1 more beast out it could really be great for the team. i lost another 1 late on this time hook pulled out but how were the results gonna be. zorro caught 16lb of mainly small carp which was no mean feat considering the guy next to him had 3oz. All these guys bar the odd 1 were very experienced anglers. heinze had done brill and won his section on the moat pool with an impressive 11lb haul of mainly silvers and small carp caught on a 1lb 7oz bottom, dave did wonders for the team winning what was a very tricky section.scales came round to simple who as ever was smiling but owning up to 3lb odd,and with ha ha next door confident weighing in a fantastic 19lb 5oz including a 11lb carp it was looking good for the wyrley boys. final section saw me up against a number of fancied anglers.according to the 1 dulux dog looking guy, the 2 best anglers in the field were next to each other. i knew it was close  and was delighted to weigh in 19lb 12oz and win the match overall collecitng a nice 60 quid. ha ha was 2nd, zorro 3rd and heinze 4th making it a clean sweep for the wyrley boys, winning all 4 sections and becoming parish champions 2007/8. we will be hosting next year's event and look forward to a penkridge backlash.

results

1st - yamo 19lb 12oz
2nd - ha ha 19lb 5oz
3rd zorro- 16lb 1oz
4th heinze- 11lb

A special thanks also to hoddy and barbara for bringing the caravan along, i heard the sandwiches were top draw. :D Image
