Horrendous conditions greeted the 35 anglers that turned out, gale force winds and driving rain for the full five hours.
Winner on the day ever consistent Rob Wootton drawn peg 3 on the carp lake, he made the most of slightly better conditions fishing long pole to start with catching odd skimmers and roach before retreating to a short line as the conditions worsened loose feeding casters he carried on catching for a comfortable win putting 15lb 7oz on the scales.
Runner-up Andy Taft on Donno lake peg 9 started on the long pole but switched to the waggler for 12lb 1oz of skimmers and quality roach.
Third off Clover lake peg 9 was Adam Logan who fished short pole on chopped worm and casters for the odd tench,roach and skimmers for 11lb 9oz.

it is close but I think that's good, ok its a bit harder fishing than last year but that's fishing.
we,re paying the top 10 in cash and then Nathan's have again kindly given us vouchers so we are paying those from 11th to 15th places. 28lb is15th at the moment, so it,s keeping the interest up. numbers fishing are up a bit at the moment too.
