Curse Match 7 2015 - Tough on the Trent

The venue - Bailies Meadow Burton on Trent

Conditions - sunny, river low and clear. A strong downstream wind at times. Fishing the waggler was also made impossible due to the amount of flax/dandelion seeds blowing into the river that caught up on your line.

Hardly any roach showed, most nets were made up of perch which showed for the first hour or so, then most members struggled for the remaining 3+ hours of the match. (On a personal note, had 19 fish, 15 in the first 1.5 hrs, only 4 in the last 3.5 hrs)

As requested by Bluezulu half way through I took a few pictures to give him a 'flavour' of the pegs - would have been a few more, but my SIM card was full after these few.......

And nope he daint have 10lb odd cuss I daint pay him out

(Mind I didn't pay Deadpeg out either, he'd swanned off before the payout, so me and Heinzer had a few beers on him on the way home)

Just realised why my catch was so small.
I appear to have purchased a job lot of stick floats from the RLNI the botchers a designed not to sink!!!

That was one tough match, especially after an hour when fishing the pole at 13 metres, concentrating hard, when suddenly the back leg on my box broke. Next second, I was flat on my back on the wooden platform with the pole vertical and thanking whatever God looks after anglers, I was well hidden from the rest of you :surprise :surprise

Thats nothing Mr v i swallowed one of them flax seeds chocked for half hour,nobody came to give me kiss ov life,so spit it out and carried on fishing

I swallowed 2 Deadpeg but kept quiet about it in case Big Col came and gave me the kiss of life

Cashmores curse strikes again.
Conditions were against us from the off, but still a nice day out
KOD weighed 2lb exactly for the record, I watched intently as he was pegged next to me
Must learn how to polefish rivers...... never done it

Bet the bottom one with the barbel and chub hole in the weed was the one OBI mucked up
