Fishley Lane Access Clearup Knockup

Had a little thought......

It was always the intention to have a work party to clear the access down the track to the canal at Fishley Lane before our match there on 9th May

So..............

with time marching on

Sat 25th April

Meet at Fishley at 8.30am

Clear the track - and then have a 4 hr knock up.

Draw/fish times dependent on how many members turn up - many hands make light work and all that

So bring all the tools you can lay your hands on - flamethrowers, machetes and scythes etc

Well ok failing them, loppers, rakes, shears etc

Sorry TK despite having previously offering to help, I am now booked to attend a School Governors annual conference on that day So I will have to miss the excavation and the knock up.

As I did not want to let you down I have been down to the access track off fishley lane this morning and had a good hour with my electric clippers and am pleased to report that it is all ok for car access ( single file anyway )

Where the hell did you plug your electric clippers in, or has TK had sockets installed on every peg so we can have our mobiles on charge

Can now report that thanks to Trevs single file access, further work today has made it into a 3 lane expressway

Had a wander down and it looks a tidy job. Well done all.

Not many fish showing, but saw the ususal couple of big Carp. Think a weed cutter may be necessary for some of the pegs, as there seems to be a lot of inside reeds about, so would be difficult getting keep nets in. See if I can get down and cut a few back.
