We got there at 9.30 and the weather was cloudy and windy. We had a walk round the pool to start off with and decided to fish peg 14 and 15 as the wind was blowing over our heads and we were sheltered by a large hill behind us.
As soon as we had setup the friggin wind changed direction and was coming at us from left to right >:(
I had decided to fish 6 meters out on the pellet, I had cupped some micro pellets and some punch crumb in and started fishing. I had a tench pretty much straight away and then next put in had a nice skimmer, after that a nice crucian then it went quiet and had started to rain ::)
I had been feeding the margin to my right under the tree with corn and micro pellets. I put corn on the hook and plonked it under the tree within a minute the float disappeared and the result was a nice little mirror carp. After that I couldn't get another bite from the margin for the rest of the day.
So I went back out to my 6 meter line and had some roach and another crucian.
By this time the wind was really picking up and beginning to yellow stream me off as 9 out of 10 times I have been fishing the wind has picked up and changed direction.
So I started to pack up before the rain came again too. I had a good day, shame about the weather.
Si's first fish of the day was a Gudgeon in true me(Si) style
But he did catch a common carp too which I got a picture of just to prove to you lot that he can catch other fish
He also had perch, roach and rudd too
So between us we caught a nice variety of fish.
Good day, thanks Si for paying for me too
