I've not had trouble with them breaking Dodge, they will bend, but not had them snap. I think them bending is dependent on your fishing style and how you unhook fish? one of the guys in my team just cant use them as he reckons he will bend 3 or 4 a match, but I will generally use a disgorger as I find it quicker than fiddling around unhooking. He uses 511's now but I think the shank is a bit short? a couple of similar hooks are the Colmic b2000 or the Drennan super carbon canal, now rebranded the polemaster competition. which I will use if I'm on lots of fish or on the rivers , both are long shanked and barbed, I hardly use barbless hooks, as I don't do commercials although I do have some Kamatsu (Kamasan) 510's 24's which are over 20 years old and so much finer than the present pattern which get a run out on the river when it hard Image
Glad you like the IM1's they are super hooks for the bread Image

I can catch quicker with the IM1s when on fish . I think there sheer sharpness and hook hold enables you to swing more fish (dumpies) with confidence therefore speeding everything up in a nice smooth rythm , also hooking the punch becomes quicker / smoother . I used to have total faith in the 511s used em for donkeys but like you say the shank is smaller so a bit more messing about on a cold winters day etc etc plus the 511s can go blunt when on a few.  Image

Choppy ive had the same problem with the IM1 !!! I am really heavy handed though, think it might be something to do with all the carpets i rip up on a regular basis! Image Image Thing is they are a good hook for small fish :D Might try chavey's disgorger technique ;) Only barbless hooks i use are gamma greens for silvers and gamma pellets & gamma power for worms. :)

nothing wrong with that group of hooks i do like the sensas 3530 for B/J and IM1s for bread fishing and gamma green hooks also for B/j doesn't burst the joker or bloodworm when you reverse hook them  Image

From what I remember about catching fish Image all our lads use the MP1s without a huge problem, even on the seed Image
on the cuts.
As Chavey is pointing at you really have to repect them and it is far easier to use a micro disgorger on then than by hand most times. I know a lot of the Gay Boys use them an all Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
