pedro, the reason i remember it so well is that Trevs came second on the day. They had won div 4 and 3 in sucessive years and everyone was expecting a hat trick. I drew an end peg in one of the lower end sections and after a massive walk with my gear on my back (no trolleys in them days) won the section and framed with 10lb of bleak. it was the first time i`d won a section on a national so meant a lot to me at the time. Great memories from the past, shame match fishing is`nt the same anymore.

Sure were good old days. I had just started to get into national fishing in the lower div 4.
By time i hit div1 team peg to peggin had gone..section coaches were on their way out. bookies odd were slashed. The whole atmosphere at the draw had gone!!

Didnt fishing back to back venues in cosecutive years cause controversy around that time too ??
