The draw for the canal champs will be here at 8am.
I would guess that pegging will depend on how many book on....
Rubbish match for me today. 6.5oz. I thought I was in for a good day when I pulled both end pegs out of the draw bags. All I could get was tiny roach and gudgeon on bread, so I decided to mess around with some worm to try and tempt a bonus fish. After a few minutes I had a tentative bite on my half lobworm tight against the far bank reeds.....here we go I thought.......green elastic streaming out of the pole and a P.B. 8oz ................................
........Signal Crayfish.
I hadn't seen one that far down the canal before. The furthest I'd seen one before today was Aylestone. I did try and weigh him in, but apparently they don't count!

same for me a very poor match couldnt get any lines to work.finished with 1lb 2 mostly rudd using a long line and swinging rig over to far side as canal was 17 meters wide catch a couple then nothing just had to keep going back to it as every other line was dead.first time ive ever known not 1 skimmer or bream to be caught at kilby basin side very hard and very wet day.
