I had 3 hrs on Tuesday morning fishing through the ice on the canal in Clayhanger
The photo's don't really do the quality of the roach justice
Jamiecatcher the photographer need some more tuition of Mr Bailey
That punch bread is good stuff

Nice roach. I live in Clayhanger and fish the cut around there, mainly by Coppice bridge and around towards the back of the new council yard. Where about did you catch these from?

Steve I caught them on the section of canal by the dead end road in Clayhanger, if that makes sense
it's the section of canal where the houses from the tesco estate backs onto
We're really lucky Steve the canal in and around Clayhanger offer fantastic summer and winter fishing

Cheers Blues4eva. I used to fish that section years ago before they built the houses. Just horses fields then. Used to be a couple of good chub pegs just along there, but they ripped the over hanging trees and bushes out when they built the houses. Also the bream fishing on Tesco bend isn't the same since the houses were built.
