Well I was fishing a match at Rolfs, there was 11 of us fishing the open. Everyone else was baggin up and I was in the little lake where the fish didn't want to know
Had 2 fish in the first 5 minutes and then nothing until this fella gave me a nice fight in the final 30 mins of the match. Gem took the picture on her camera phone.
It made the match worth all the yellow stream taking after the match anyway. The Smile says it all really
Caught from peg 38 next to the bush on 11mm pellet by the way.

Well not really intended when I posted it Grover - it was tranquil as I packed up yesterday and yet it seemed more 'atmospheric' when I took it than it turned out.......
It's 'our' cut, but you may be interested, that the far bank used to house an Ironworks - see here

There's a few pictures of the canal 'today in the link; if you click on the pictures etc,,,,,

It often seems more tranquil as one packs up at the end of a session, probably due to the light at this time of year.
Watch out, watch out, there's a Mugger about

Depends really, the bigger ones come in in about 5 minutes. As they just wallow about and come up to the top (I think they know the score)
Its the smaller 7lb - 9lb'ers that go off like rocket ships and can take 15 - 20 minutes to get in.

pretty similar to carpin? except we fish deep waters where they can take a lot longer.
