Bridgy canal was given the last rites by many 12 months or so ago .....proper made up with 5 lb of roach (and 1 dace) today , only a small match but it means a lot to win with an all roach net from my local canal , maybe just maybe the bridgy is showing a slight recovery

Next sunday 5th june .... draw at bottom of Moss Road (Trafford Angling) Stretford 9.00 am , fishing behind Kelloggs

Result sunday june 5th Bridgewater Canal Kelloggs Trafford Park 20 fished

1 Tony Crolla Trafford Angling 16.4.0
2 Keith Rustage Railway AC 7.14.0
3 John O`Mahony Trafford Angling 5.4.8
4 Roger Gardom Ted Carter Southport 4.14.8

Tony drew the famous "hump" next to kelloggs basin and landed 5 bream at 13 mtrs fishing double and treble red maggot over groundbait. Lots of 3s and 4lb backing weights made up of roach and perch and some big tench were hooked and lost, Keith Rustage managed to get one out , it weighed 4.15.0

#15

Well done on another brown envelope Dodge

tudes · #16

Nice to see the Bidgy producing some weights again Dodge. The hump peg brings back some memories, often drawn within 100 yds of it but never quite on it!! :( :( :(

Lol tudes

only drawn it once meself in 20 odd years !

. The inside basin is heaving with big bream , very wise fish .... still some massive carp there aswell. I almost forgot how deep the bridgy is at Trafford Park & Old Trafford , 7ft from 4mtrs to around 12mtrs on the not so wide bits with 4 ft up the shelf @ 14 mtrs.

#18

Last match in the series this sunday 19 th june

Draw is at the bottom of Moss Road (Trafford Angling) 9.00am fishing the Kelloggs length again

Bweeeeeeem

Result of todays match sunday 19th june

Yet again the weather was unkind to say the least .... blew a flamin hoolie for the last 4hrs of the match , flat calm at the all in and you have to fish 13 / 14.5 mtrs on bridgy at trafford park

weights would have been a lot higher but for the wind but hey ho yet again ! One angler even caught a pristine brown trout which he had to put back as they arent allowed to be weighed in.

1st Keith Rustage Railway AC 8.3.0
2nd Joe Gallimore Lower Kersal AC 4.9.0
3rd Dougie Darbyshire Railway AC 4.6.0
4th Roger Gardom Ted Carter Southport 4.2.0

Keith got stuck in more trees than bill yards has ever done apparently but managed to snare 2 big bream on his last rig he had in his box plus a few perch on chopped worm and caster at 14.5 mtrs

Really enjoyed fishing my local canal again this spring and to catch a few fish again in Manchester has been very special , the roach are proper dumpys

Well done organiser Albert Morris and his helpers if you are looking in ..... hopefully more anglers will have a chuck next spring

Nice one Dodge
