New vid on the RIVER!
Not so long ago a river vid was uploaded. This particular stretch is quite hard so you can't expect huge bags. I've had some enjoyable session up there tho, and this is one of them.

Well done Daniel, looked as if you had some hard conditions there to contend with. I like the way that you have painted your pole top. I like to break the outline of my pole tops up with some white or heron grey paint but also leaving some black.

Well done mate. A great and very exciting way of catching carp off the top as you say.
A couple of little tips. Instead of having the rod pointing down and straight out, try putting it to the side and down, as you would when legering or using a pellet waggler. Then when a carp or trout takes it cannot break you so easily on the take. Secondly make sure that the line straightens out in front and behind you on the cast before making the next movement. If you don't, again you could actually snap the fly off with the 'whip effect' when it cracks.
Great video though Dan! More people should give it a try on a late summer evening imo.
