Hi pal, what a days fishing that was.The chub on that peg are a bit big, i am sure the odd one was near the 5 lb mark. how did your day go, you only one point behind us now.Quorn have a good river side they will be hard to catch now.

well done matey 30lb off that peg is really good it normally throws up with water on but i wouldn't of said we had that much and the rest of the chubby sections struggled to catch
i drew proctors corner i won the section with 10lb9oz but i had a bream which in most cases you'd of thought game over but i spent too long looking for another i was getting a roach a Chuck when the bream came along still on another day it might of been 40lb bream Imagelike last week i did have tommy adams came down and tell me he'd had 70lb off the peg on thursday Image Imageit only happens to me mate ,good job i've got broad shoulders Image Image

monty what do you think has happened to the 12oz to pound and half chub we are not catching any anywhere on the river i did have a few nice dace yesterday russ dowding had a 5lb chub on the brinks quite early again you would of said game on ,but at the end of the match he weighed 5lb 9oz
steve woolhard on a chub peg no chub roger marlow chub peg no chub rob wootton chub peg only had one yet the roach fishing on the rest of the river was brilliant[except normanton hammo]

I have had the peg before couple of years ago,had 2 chub for 9lb, but felt there was few more more there. so this time instead of sitting on platform which is a bit high and its bit of short run to the bridge i sat on the bank set one rod up. john wilson would of been proud of me.your peg is steady this year, Rob did the same on Greens he got Bream first chuck on punch spent most of match fishing for them with no sucess.

It does seem strange no small chub,i had the odd 6 to 8 oz ones might need a few more frosts to get yhem shoaled up.

don't be silly hammo your a natural angler that section wasn't your cup of tea when was the last time you fished normanton rich is fishing two or three days a week he's in touch with rivers and styles at the moment but lets be about right if i put you on the bridge peg at the osiers and rich above you i'm sure it would be a different story
everyone has a real blow out at some time hammo you just have to move on its all about this week now mate Image
i thought dean guest was on strictly come dancing after the first two rounds 7 7 but on the third he showed what he can do suddenly he's a different person Image Image
hammo your turn will come Image

Sorry for the late reply as I have had a bad week at work and home !
Hammo, do not let the river get you down the flyers will come your way soon !
Joff, it is only a suggestion but why don't they put another section in at sutton to the left of the lane instead of zouch.
Yes the walk was bad on sunday but I went in from zouch as stuff keeps coming off the platform trolley on rough bumpy fields !
It was the same for everyone though ! unfortunate that there is not a better access.
Anyway I am hoping for a chub peg sunday or bream or perch in fact a good bag up will do !!!!

everything has been taken on board this week and i emailed bob about some of the concerns andbob has decided to drop normanton completly this sunday because one the long walk and two the bottom section fished crap in the week
so its now
1 1860
2 brinks top
3 brinks middle
4 brinks bottom
5 greens
6 osier beds
7 sutton 64 back
8 sutton
9 sutton from the left of the lane
10 kegworth please the same pegs as the first match

remember clocks change this weekend so the hours of fishing will change i'm sure it will be 10til 3 pm so that means a earlier draw  Image Image
