Since I retired from the officers role of Treasurer etc. I have tried to keep out of contoversial issues and take more of a back seat.
However, sometimes somethings just have to be said.
Yesterdays match [Thorpe] was a cracking venue [ask Wedgie] but was spoiled for me and others by the constant and incessant talking and shouting from one member to others across the pool.
Now, dont get me wrong, I love the jovial banter that eminates from the members of the club, some of it is hilarious, But for 5 hours!!!!!! Please!
One of the joys of fishing is to be able to listen to the birds and the breeze and not the sound of voices droning on hour after hour.
Sorry if this offends but I do feel strongly about this, there is a time and place chaps.

I thought thats what fishing with your mates was all about, He was possibly looking for a few comebacks or a bit of banter....
To me, fishing is about catching fish, but also enjoying the peace and tranquility of the countryside, whether your with your mates or not.
Like I said in my post, I don't object to a bit of banter, we all do it. What I am objecting to is the fact that in this particular instance, it went on for 5 solid hours non stop!
