Actually, I agree with you about pellets, In fact I think they should be banned as I catch far too many roach and skimmers on them

Joking aside Joff, do any of your lads ever use pellets on the canals or the Soar. Curious to know if they'd work. I know when I lived on Shardlow Marina I used to catch loads of roach and skimmers on pellets

well iv'e not mate but!! i was on the receiving end of a battering on the river at sutton
the lad to my right couldn't catch a roach over his G/B and i could
so i thought keep going .i can't think of the lads name but he decided to feed two pots of pellets a metre from his G/B line with in half a hour he was catching skimmers and the odd better one as well he ended up winning the match with 16lb 
and it was a clear margin by a long way
he was on a good peg so its one of those questions i must say i have always said i would go and try it after that day
