Fishing rights Town Wharf stretch Walsall

Hi does anyone know who owns the rights here, I've just been talking to a polish lad who is fishing there he has no license and he's fishing for carp.

Is it a club owned stretch ?

You can see loads of them when its hot, a mirror swam past me yesterday about 15lb

I walk down there 3 or 4 a week on the way to town and see the big mirrors quit often and there's always some Eastern Europeans fishing for them for the table, I've called the EA a few times but they don't seem to give a monkeys.

I some times see a couple of guys on the straight between Rolling mill Street and Bridgeman Street that are members of vale so I'll ask next time I see them.

Seems a shame to see that fat boy end up in the pot , was gonna pre-bait for him he goes from outside the wharf pub up to the basin regular.

When Iasked him if he was gonna eat or put back he said theres plenty in there - dont know if he had a license or not just asssumed he didnt.

Been quite a few years since I've fished the wharfe and Rollingmill St myself, but I walk it a fair bit with the grand daughter on a saturday whilst JK spends all the kids inheritance in Next across the road

There's bream in there to over 6lbs along with some good size pike, tench got towards the 5lb mark and its full of bits.
