Yes Im w4nk! I was actually the first one out of the main marina and wouldve fancied any of the next 5 pegs to my left. As it happened i had 10lb of mostly perch which Steve Hemingray told me to expect after he had 8lb off the same peg the Sunday before. Sam had 1lb before i had a fish and fishing a section shorter at 11m definitely helped him. I was 4th, Darran Bickerton had 10lb 5oz for third off 299 (again mostly perch but a couple of caster roach), there was an 11lb (on bread!) and then Sam. Darran was 6th in match so I wasnt too far off. 4 wasted casts on caster at 16m cost me getting 11lb but you cant fish Stanilands without having a look for a big un at some point. Theres bream, chub and the roach are over 1lb on caster if you can get them. It blew a hooli for 4 hrs then it dropped and I had... one gudgeon!
Had to laugh when the AT said no one expected the framing weights to come from Stanilands! It ALWAYS throws up a framer on big matches and only the 190s to 200s are as consistent...

The stanilands marina is full of bream and skimmers aswell but they usually show when its warmer on chopworm or even the feeder ! I drew next to Alan Scotthorne on thems very same pegs (Alan on 295 , i was 294) prob 3 or 4 year ago on a sensas cipps qualifier ...... it fished very hard that day (- 6 overnight) ...... Alan was struggling badly first 2 hrs, then changed tactics completely and caught 3 big bream a few skimmers and a 3lb carp in the last 2 hrs at 13mtrs to win the match with 16lb odd 8-)
Awesome
Edit .... I wrote wrong peg numbers down ::)
