2013/14 season tickets are now available, still only £5 for the year


These actually commence from 16th June to coincide with what was the 'old' season, but any 'new' member wishing to 'try' the canal will also get what's left of 'this season'......

Had a wander down lunchtime with Heinzer - wished I'd have taken the camera.......



Only two members out on the bank, but plenty of 1lb plus skimmers showing plus the obligatory few tincas

Had another wander down the cut today with Heinzer


But this time took our gear


Lets just say, armed with a bit of punch and a few left over maggots, wished we'd fished last Sat's match on the cut instead..... loads of clocking rudd and several roach to 1/2lb. Didnt personally manage a tinca - but did hit one which straightened me fine wire hook

Strange also, neither of us had a skimmer, although we both had hybrids

Near the end, Heinzer had a tug on his no3 lackie and after about 10 mins was ready to net.......






Was about 3lb, but dont they always look smaller when you hold 'em ..........mind have you seen the size of Heinzer's donnys







All in all not a bad day, just 5 mins down the road, with 10 bobs worth of bait producing loads of bites

as tk says 5 mins drive from home a few maggots some punch and plenty of fish i dont think some of our members really try very hard to give the water a go just want to knock it not talking about match fishing go and try a bit of pleasure fishing you might just get a suprise

In my opinion there can't be a canal in the country that can better this cut for a pleasure session. You simply don't know what you gonna catch next. Did two massive weights last year and pla. A few repeat trips this year.
