What pool are you on ?
I have only every fished Back Deans and just fished corn in the margin and fed LOTS of corn. Fished overdepth by about 6 inches and lay the line down the shelf to avoid the liners.
That was in the summer though

One of the deans pools mate fished there 5 times this year but never on deans . Looks like a chopped worm & caster job & ledger/pellet feeder down the middle. i was told it was froze over the other day & 40lb won once theyed smashed the ice with a digger.

I fished Front deans in the summer and used pellet waggler and did 54lb of carp and a tench
He must have been upside down and thought up was down and visa versa
I heard liquidized bread is handy in the winter though

fished 2 opens in late oct on back Dean's i took worm & Caster and corn,had 77lb but the locals are still using red meat & pellet at 13mtr or on the Lead hair rig ya meat and pellet,

Thans for your help guys 25lb won, 14lb 2nd & 13lb 3rd 1 won my section with 2 ledgered carp for 12-2-0 we ended up fishing high & arles pools it was like fishing the ocean
