What made you think of using that pic for a quiz--and where did you find it.
as ive been off the scene for a while i`m interested how you came across it.

Nothing ‘sinister’ with your picture ‘selected’ for inclusion in this section - honestly, rest assured

The ‘All our yesterdays’ section of the forums was born accidentally a couple of years back when I had some old mags off Simps which were a bit of a nostalgia trip for me.

If you check back to the very first few posts in this section, initially I started posting ‘extracts’ of report from the AM relating to a few original forum members or of people I knew they could relate to or recognise.

Soon I realized that as the forum was growing with members/viewers from all around the country I needed to start posting pictures of anglers from all corners to ‘keep interest’ in the section and so as to not isolate some of the members if it only contained ‘faces’ from say the Midlands area.

I cant lay my hands at the moment on the actual AM that your picture came from to confirm your weight……..but I’ve just clocked in the AM dated 4th Jan 1992 a report that you drew near to the Health Centre - this was on The Old Nene at March - and polefished punch and pinkies to take 3rd place with 14-7-0 of roach

They did use the same pic several times after in reports as it was probably the only one they had of me--but you can dismiss the pinkies bit on that report cos all i ever took with me to March was bread--and the person who said they had seen an article in Angling Times must have been mistaken cos Angling times never ever gave me any credit for some reason--until i captained (managed) "tiny" Splisby AA to victory in the Angling times Clubman supercup in 2002 and then they sat up and took notice--but it wasnt punch related
ps; i tried to put a pic of the winning team on here but it says the pic is too large-- anyone know how to reduce the size of pic so i can post it.

Ive finally done it--got my A*** into gear and went fishing again tonight-- as i`m a honorary member of Spilsby AA, i thought id go to the club pond-Partney Brick Pit-ive never done any good there the most ive had has been 5lb of bits
but been told its got a bit better-i fished peg 1 which is in a corner with reeds and lillies to my left--started off on punch at 4m and had about 40 roach to 2oz, and fed pellet 5m to my left about 3m from the bank--and when i went over it started to catch small tench from 2oz to 1lb finished up with about 40 of them--when ive been there in the past the only tench you caught were 2lb and over--and when id done i decided to wiegh my catch--it took me all my time to lift the scales (with my bad back) and i had 29lb 8oz
if someone had have told me they had had nearly 30lb out of Partney i wouldnt have belived them. (In the past we used to try not to have matches there cos it was crap)
Dont know if i dare go fishing again now--cos it will be all downhill after that--lol
