As a few of you on here know I work for Lexus.
The other day something a little bit different turned up in the showroom, The new Lexus LFA.
We are the only dealer in Europe to sell the vehicle, It's a worldwide limited run of only 500 cars with a basic price of just £340,000.  Image
Unbelievably we have already taken 17 orders for the car.

The car we have in the showroom is a pre-production model and as such will never be sold, and is the car that will be seen on Top Gear soon.

The car has done around 1000 laps of the Nürburgring and actually has a fair bit of wear and tear on it.
A fast lap of the Nürburgring is reckoned to be anything under 10 minutes, this car has lapped in the 8 minute 50 seconds bracket. Although it does carry a chassis number certain aspects of the car don't meet type approval regulations.
Each customers car will be bespoke (built to their individual requirements) in terms of colour and trim specification (a couple have already been ordered as track spec ie: stripped interior, no sound deadening, full roll cage, racing tanks and fully plumbed fire extinguisher etc), while this car will eventually be returned to Japan and probably end it's days as a display car.
