People who use hand made floats are tackle tarts and can`t catch fish(or they may have never heard of bristle grease).

Simps.....

I pressed the wrong button  :-[ :-[  should of pressed on certain venues .

ie   Like lots of north west anglers i am into Dufill bloodworm / joker floats and have been for 3 years or so ..... they are hand made in france and pretty difficult to get hold of, luckily for us lot up here in the north a "source" has just come up with the goods again ready for this winters joker fishing in yam yam land lol  :D   they are quality floats largely made from polystyrene. Float choice is always a personal thing and whatever design / make you use and it works for you ....... stick with it  Image Image  8-)

I used them because I got fed up with other shop bought ones breaking. I tried various makes and they kept breaking.

Over the years I have got used to them and have just stuck with them.
My very last outing I used some bristle grease as well and yes it was on a float tip Image Image :D

My thoughts exactly Simps. I have been using handmades for over 2 years now and havent broken one yet. Lost a few but that would have happened no matter what float it was.

I havent got any yet Budgie but I had a look at Malcs ones which he uses for the margins at Rolfs and they looked pretty good to me. Image Image

I also want to get a look at some of his Pikey Paste floats designed by Dave Pearson as they could be dead right for the waters we fish down here. Especially as Dave is a Suverner and fishes Willinghurst.

All I know is that compared to me Chris has loads of what could be taken as muscles. Image Image Image
