What would you do?

As a match organiser 154 booked in for the previous Sunday at Weston. Amount turned up 154.
This Sunday 216 or 217 were booked in; 200 turned up. Two sent an apology on the day; one has sent one this morning. All these have been accepted without problem or question.
The absentees meant there was a shortcoming of £240 in the main pool; all the winners had to have their money cut down because of this.
At the end of the day I am one phone call away; perhaps those missing need college tutoring on how to use a telephone?
The end shot of this is to save any embarrassment will the thirteen that obviously couldn't care less please not book in for this weekend. It will save me the embarrassment of telling you we are fully booked. Yes I can be just as crappity smack nasty and awkward as you are.

If this interferes with any team selections for the National I couldn't give a fat rats wobbly cheeks.

here here bill , well said mate. if the perpetraitors can't be bothered to cancel or then at least apologise for non attendance ( simple manners ) then yes ban them because they obviously dont care. organisers of matches have a thankless task and its usually those who have never run or helped to run a match before who always tend to moan or choose not to attend because another offer came along .

Ban them until they either agree to peg out a match or give them the scales on the next match.

its not good enough bill there not royalty mate one rule for them and another rule for us just make sure you get your money you've earned it mate

To the best of my knowledge only 1 starlets angler never turned up and did not inform anyone, I should know as I booked the person in. I am obviously not happy with the said person as it made me look an idiot and agree with all the above comments about him being banned or be made to pay a peg fee.
What I do disagree with is the 1 or 2 people who any excuse they have to slag Starlets off will. As for the comment 'ban the lot' I think that is a bit extreme. Please do not tar us all with the same brush as you have good and bad in every team.

I know im round as a pound, is that the same as a fat crappity smack. :)I did get a bit uptight as it was me who booked the lads in and have been warned that the person has a bit of a habit for it. By the way it was not El capitano.

Your right Dan, some anglers that have fished for tipton i've respected as anglers but wouldn't choose to go drinking with them, where some of your lads i have and would choose to drink with, but Russell and Downsy made Tipton and Starlets like Wolves and Albion, it's a pitty we don't fish against each other a bit more though

danny your sound but i know just how you feel when booking in other anglers.if no one asks me now i don't book them in

if they miss a good match thats tuf
just make sure they pay bill the £3 pegging it just might do the trick mate

Joff the annoying thing is the person rang me to ask me to book him in. If he can ring me to book him in then surely he can ring Tony and inform him he cant go. I suppose I have learnt a lesson and shall not be booking anyone else in for matches apart from myself.
Would not drink with the Tipton lads, it would be to expensive for a round. Have you seen the prices for Lemonade round here.
