You mean people still read the rags !!!!!!
Stopped reading them years ago as so much bull gets into the pages.
You'll proberly find it was a carp angler PLEASURE fishing with multi rods set up and fished it ALL DAY and the fish were weighed in the normal way by GUESSING.
The amount of times i've had people there trying to tell me a fish is 20lb when it's between 12 & 15lb is unreal.

so whats the weight going to be that wins our match malc i think we will need around 150-200lb
1000lb drayton
Impossible to say as it could be any thing from 60lb upto 200lb+
Last year same sort of times thats the varing sort of match winning weights from the same area.
What everyone has to remember is to do 100lb+ at Drayton could mean anything from 6 upto 12 fish and as the winner will proberly hook about 20 fish, it's fish in the net that count.
They can be easy to hook there but not always that easy to land.
I know in the past in pleasure sessions i've landed 40+ between 10lb and 15lb in 5 hours and had to stop cause i was was to knackered to continue but most i've had in a match is 12 for 186lb and the best was 4 for 88lb.
Thats why we go back as you just never know.
