Grueller Match 2............and what a grueller
Well this morning was cold and after phone call from TK the other night he told me to meet at Wood Lane but I couldn't remember what time he said
I got the time wrong and got there an hour early ::)
There was some ice on the margin and far side...
TK Turned up and went for a strole with Heinzer and KOD and confirmed we were moving shop.
Everyone else started arriving just in time....
We moved to another section, I don't know the name. All I know is that it was quite popular with the local doggers
TK , KOD and Heinzer doing some warm ups for the match ahead...
Everyone gathered for the draw...
I went in the bag and pulled out peg 6 "Flyer" shouts TK :-?
I was pleased to see my old club mate Budgie for company on peg 5...
He loves been next to me so he told me
I was fishing punch today although I had some squat and pinkie for backup.
On the whistle I was catching right away, 3 blades in the first 5 mins. I thought ooooo this is too good to be true. AND IT WAS
Struggled for the rest of the match but not as much as someone close to me on the next peg
I weighed in 19 blades for 7oz. 9dr
TK When you do the results start a new thread and I will stick all these underneath it
Some more pictures from todays Grueller Match 2.
KOD with a slight wheel problem on his trolley....
My Peg...
TK looking at someone's Pinkie
Well run match again. Thanks

By the look of the tinnie binders on the floor, KOD must have been drink driving when his wheel came off

We fished the Coventry canal a few years back Chockie Munster...........a fur & feather match switched from a flooded Trent at Drakelow Power Station............the likes of HaHa might remember it.
We fished it near the junction where it hits the Trent & Mersey at Fradley.
And guess what......................
It was gin clear, just like the Curley Wyrley, and the weights were very similar to yours
In fact they might have been worse.............seem to remember a gudgeon was good enough to win a bottle of whiskey or two
Hard luck on just missing out on the section win, well done for scratting a few out
