Hot off the press new star in the making
I'm not sure if anyone has realised but Yamo has won the aggregate with a match to go and by a staggering 47 points! Well done Yamo! I dont believe anyone has had this much of a lead at this time of the season with only one match to go.
With regards to the last match, I hope Forest will join me in the team D event because the other three team mates have deserted me and it gets a bit lonely at the top :'(

Mark thanks mate that's a really nice post, it's been a tough slog this year, some highs some lows with a bit of luck here and there, but comments like that are much appreciated pal thanks for the congrats. Means alot.
Would also take this opportunity to congratulate you on a fantastic winning weight on the trent saturday. I know you had a few reservations beforehand but it was great to see you winning the match, and iim su're this has restored your faith in the trent, well done mate !

I know from personal experience what a pleasant feeling it is to be crowned ‘champ’ with one to go, hence I thought it worthy of a posting pointing out your leading position on the earlier thread a couple of weeks ago that ME mentions above.
Well done again on joining that small elite number of Cashmores members who’ve managed the feat of crossing the line with one to go ;)
But now another challenge awaits you for 2009 or beyond…………..
Win the ‘championship’ by missing an earlier match………………
But irrespective of that, what will 2009 bring us all with 10 matches on new venues to confront and overcome
Hopefully the members will rise to the occasion and make things a tad more challenging and interesting for you than we have in 2008 and thus keep you on your mettle next year

Well done Yamo..good result on a variety of venues, unusual these days.
Do you think it might be time to fish more open matches now.

thanks TK, nice words there, it's the 2nd time ive been lucky enough to win the aggregate and ive had 2 seconds as well in my 4 years, last year had to miss last match whilst ahead and was pipped by wedgie(deservedly).
Look forward to new challenging venues ! Thanks again for your kind words!

Cheers Lee, despite being more consistent this year both with cashmores and other knock ups , i feel i still have along way to go to be a regular on match circuit. The opens i have fished ive always done well, actually won a big match at woodlands view last year fishing as a guest for beechdale, won matches for hawkins and cleared up at poplars mid week matches after a dicey start against the colmic boys, also framed twice in silver and gold festivals at whiteacres, but if you look at the quality of anglers, the amount of bait and the quality of tackle they use im a long way short. I also feel i am technically light years behind some of the anglers in cashmores, but that will come with experience.Add to that on canals, i remain indifferent despite some great advice from mr v, which has helped majorly, i still struggle putting good weights together on canals and i need to work on this.

Top Man Yamo. Well done mate I havent been on the site for a while, so sorry it took me so long to acknowledge your excellent feat. As mentioned by Lee earlier, its time you got yourself on to more opens and widened your horizons. It is still possible to fish the Club matches, which I know you enjoy, but there is a lot to be learned still out there by pitting your wits against some of the top anglers.
Once again, brilliant effort, and well done.

thanks mr v, ive got a long way to be anywhere near your good self, but as usual ill take ur advice and venture out to learn what i can.
On the subject of tommy cooper, he is out of hospital, much better but his legs are still quite bad so he is unable to do any fishin at the mo, we all wish him a speedy recovery it aint the same without his jokes and i do miss him sneakingly using my pole roller in stead of his own.
