The first round was fished in Coventry between Leicester Causeway and Red Lane, following an overnight snowfall. With colour still coming into the canal, this made the section at Red Lane fish a lot harder than is normally expected, the other sections fished a lot better.In total 32 anglers fished.

A decision where to fish the next round, on 31st January, will be made after this coming weekend.
Draw for the next round is at the Blue Boar, Mancetter at 8.00am, breakfasts available from 7.15am.

You were right it was the same peg that I drew in that Sensas final................it was in 1998 blimey I thought it was only 10 years ago!!!!!
The match was organised on a local level I think by Paul Rouse and Liam Lynott- I wonder what happened to them?
Pete Vasey won that match with 10lb odd Paul Downes was 2nd and Big Sam was 3rd
I had 7-14 and managed 5th that day so even after all these years its still solid
The snow on sunday put a dampener on big weights but its a cracking piece of canal
Lets hope the conditions are better next match

I couldn't remember the weights that day,that's a good memory. Think Rousey just plays golf now and Liam I think sold his tackle.Hopefully if weather picks up then the weights will be good.
