River Soar Mountsorrel to Kegworth
90 anglers fished
The final match was fished in gale force conditions with the river starting to rise after overnight rain.Never the less it still produced some outstanding results.It also through a massive shock Team wise which is always possible on a river like todays !!

1) Greens Peg 2 Pete Hamilton Loughborough Soar 48lbs 11oz
Pete had a great catch of bream. He balled his swim in mid river at the start and fished a feeder with both worm and maggot on the hook. His best fish was about 6 lbs.
2) 1860 Bridge Peg 2 Lee Bennett Midland Angling Supplies 22lbs 2oz
The highlight of Lees catch was a carp of 18lbs 8oz backed up with some small perch and roach. Not sure but I think he caught on the feeder.
3) Greens peg 1 Richie Reynolds Quorn A.S. 16lb 13 ½ oz
Richie sat next to the winner and caught a nice net of skimmers on the groundbait feeder.
