A little taster for Saturday...this is from the stretch upstream of Sherrats
Wednesday saw the second daytime open on the Golf Course section of the Trent at Burton. Another excellent match. First with 22-14-0 was Jim Lifton with a mixed bag of roach, perch and dace, plus 2 bonus pound and a half chub from the top end peg. Joint second on 16-15-0 was Roger Smith and Mick Reynolds, both with mainly roach catches followed closely by Dave Shakespeare with 16-12-0. The 8 anglers who fished landed 116 lb of fish only one not reaching double figures ! Next match is in 2 weeks on Wednesday 12th August at the Golf course riverside car park draw 9-30.
