55 anglers fished.
Conditions were difficult for todays match with a low clear river and a strong wind of variable direction on a hot sunny day. However class showed as some of the areas top river anglers came to the fore.
1) Peg 24 Joe Oaks Wigston A.S. 10lb 9 oz
After two wins in a week at Eversham fishing his favourite hemp method Joe picked up his feeder rod to land two good bream a four skimmers on worm with groundbait and caster sin the feeder from the renowned pylon pen at Sutton.
2) Peg 1 Roger Marlow Drennan Leicester 10lb 4 oz.
After a successful gold medal performance with the England Veterans team Roger returned to his local river to return a fine catch of skimmers and roach on red maggot over groundbait and hemp fishing the pole at 9 metres.
3) Peg 73 Sean Ashby Kamasan Starlets Mr consistent 9lbs 12 oz
4) Peg 25 Steve Hemingray Kamasan Starlets 8lb 2oz
5) Peg 59 Darren Bickerton Kamasan Starlets 7lb 4oz
6) Peg 17 Tony Cahill Long Eaton Federation 7lb 3oz

16 of the best river anglers have now qualified for the final a little disappointed in anglers not contacting Brian or myself these anglers will have to re-book as we have taken them off the list
