Did try to organise one last year Damo, but people had other things on. There is a 3 week gap between Cashmores matches, so how about 16th or 23rd May. Anybody interested, pop me a pm or add a post on here and we will see what the interest is like. It would be nice to raise a bit of dosh to help Simps keep the best fishing forum out there going

why is it on a bank holiday weekend ?
Why not, it gives us chance to have a beer after and not worrying about going to work Monday
It is also a date that suits the Cashmores calendar, who give us the use of the venue without charging peg fees. We tried to run this last year, but suiting everybody was impossible. This year we decided to just pick a suitable date for us, as organisers, and stick with it mate

I beg to differ. I am running the match to raise funds for the forum, hence the name. It is a match open to all Forum members! We tried running one last year but decided not to in the end because there were too many other matches already in members calendars.
This year we decided to go for it on one of two weekends, on waters donated by Cashmores AC at no cost. Irrespective of how many choose to attend, I felt any funds raised would be better than what we raised last year.
It is not about being a Cashmore's knock up, and I think you are missing the point of why I am doing this. If it doesn't suit you because of the date, why don't you possibly consider running another one later in the year that does. I am sure the Cashmore's members will support you. There is no reason why we can't run several of these fund raisers.

Not at all Wiggley worm......
After 4 successful get togethers it was a shame that last year's didn't happen because of 100 and one clash of dates in the members diaries
As requested by another site member (non Cashmores) MrV has took the bull by the horn....
