Royal Ascot 2015

Royal Ascot starts on June 16th (Tuesday) and is for five days ending Saturday 20th

We might even have a 'Royal' enter this year.

Are we all up for it.

I don't what your feeling are on this but the Stewards seem quite a decent straight bunch of guys and gals. Well I have had an Email from some bloke named Blatter saying the job would suit him as well. What do you all think?

The other ones for the non-runners Dodge

Mr Blatter will now be on the Stewards; he prefers to be known as 'Bunga' Blatter.

He has all the credentials, a bank account is most countries making from some previous job he had.
He will be in charge of stationery as he reckons he has millions of brown padded envelopes to dispose of.

Although he was not to keen on Stewarding with Mr Dodd and Piggott he will have to lump it

Usual rules, under 8 runners 1st 2 points, 2nd 3
8 - 15 runners inc 1st 3 points, 2nd 2, 3rd 3.
16 runners or more 1st 4points, 2nd 3, 3rd 2, 4th 1
One nap per day, must be 8 runners or more, double points.

On the eve of Royal Ascot Bunga Blatter has resigned from the Stewards list.
No worries have contacted Thierry Henry, he said he can handle the job.

Stewards Enquiry***

Mr V has missed has nap off. Mr Maradona and Mr Henry were elected by the Stewards to sort this one out as they were the best at handling situations like this.

The result of the handling enquiry is as follows: As Mr V is a brand new jock he can be excused as these are his first selections in this world renowned competition. As a one off, unless the Clerk of the Course hears different his first selection, (the first race will be his NAP).

If there any objections to this can jocks please do the done thing and put it in writing in a Jiffy bag and send the appropriate bribexxxxx sorry fee and send it to the Jockey Club with a duplicate (of the money as well) to the Horse Racing Board.

Well, we are off, - a bit of a contentious day with the Stewards in full throttle. However it went reasonably smooth until Chief Steward Lester Piggot offered to buy a round of drinks. It had been quite a while since he was that side of the bar and alas he broke down when he was given the bill :surprise

Long Eaton's Finest, fresh from losing his apprenticeship claim set the week off with three good winners in his 14 points total, easily enough to top the day and take an early lead in the League. Former top tipster Tony F and Bill Yards tied on 11 points. Another jock Mr V fresh from running in apprentice races pecked on landing and still managed a satisfying 9 points. This left Dodge, who is concentrating on his football punditry these days, on 7 points whilst a Barrow full of Bills had 6 points.

Don't forget your naps, - Ken Dodd is in charge tomorrow and he will issue some hefty fines if need be, all taxable.
