Martin popped down on Saturday night with 4 birds for me (pheasants, you perverts) :surprise


SWMBO asked him if he missed the fishing and he said "No, but I miss the lads"...bless his little cotton socks :'( :'(

Anyway, since we saw him at Christmas, he has had a bit of a rough time with the old ticker. Result is, he was at New Cross hospital today to see the surgeons in preparation for a heart bypass operation in the next few weeks. :-? :-?

He has promised to let me have some updates, but I am sure all our members will wish him well in difficult times. Chin up Mart, we are thinking of you mate :thumsup :thumsup

Had a go on the extension today about 2nd boat just to see if there was anything in there :-/. Had about 2lb,8 roach n 2perch. Old essox was trying his best to eat my net again though >:(

FK (Mart) should remember a couple of things about being in hospital.
1) Just because the nurse is in bed with him does not mean she has to kiss him.
2) Do not let them give him Bromide to curb his romantic efforts.. I had some in 1963 and its still acting now.
I wish him good luck and a rapid return to good health.

Update: Martin had his bypass operation today. He is in critical care at the moment, so Best Wishes to the man. Get well soon Fatty :thumsup :thumsup
