11 hardy souls graced the draw at Doggers today. One or two noticeable absentees who must have thought the duvet was a better option, particularly as it started to rain just as we drew
Phil B drew 17, a long walk which he said he was happy with, and Tricast, being a gentleman, offered to take Phil's gear to the far off horizon and asked nme to draw his peg for him. This I duly did, pullingnout 19 for him. This meant once he got back from lugging Phil's kit, he had to repeat the long walk with his own gear
To say it rained was an understatement . It persisted throughout the 4 hours, only stopping when I shouted all out at 2 pm. Anyway, the tale of the scales:
1st. Buzza. 3lb 7oz 4dr
2nd. Big Col. 3lb 3oz 4dr
3rd. Tabbo. 3lb 1oz 1dr
4th. CC. 2lb 12oz
5th. MrV. 2lb 9oz 13dr
6th. KOD. 1lb 11oz
7th. Phil B.1lb 10oz
8th.Mike E. 15oz 5dr
9th. OBI. 14oz 12 dr
10th. Trev. 12oz 6dr
11th. Blues4eva DNW
Due to a hole in his net, it is thought OBI caught the same 6 fish several times, before giving up and waiting in the net to finally be weighed in

Some nice nets of Roach TK. Speaking for myself, the punch only brought tiny half ozzers, so sat it out on caster
The overflow from the lake made it mucky to the right side, pegs 8 - 19, yet left it clear as a bell to the left, pegs 1 - 7.

Can I say a whopping thanks to Tricast for lugging my gear, and to Mick E and Bluesy for the loan of a keep net and landing net respectively.
I have written a memory list for the next match,( if I can recall where I put it.) I will bring all of the appropriate gear.
Thanks again to all three.

Sorry I forgot to add my thanks to OBI (with the hirsute chin) who valiantly pushed my barrow back to the car.

OBI caught the same 6 fish several times,
so that's why I would get half a dozen bites then wait 20 mins for the next one it would take that long for them to do the great escape {must of been baggies fans ) then swim back across
Couldn't get a bite down the track at all, had most of my fish the ones that decided to stay with me that is tight over in about 18 inches of water about 40 half ozers with 4 better stamp fish on top 2,
Carlos...Had a word with wife..if it 28th your there and due to NHS cost cutting they only lube up on a Monday so its dry all the way I am afraid :surprise ,but they will take a picture of your face during the process so you prove you had it done

Obi , I do a net repair service , only charge 25p per hole repaired so my first ( estimated E & OE ) quote would be £5975.25 !!!!
Tight lines ( and keepnets with just the right number of holes )
