There you go Joff there is some fish in Grantham canal if you are lucky enough to draw on a few.
I just managed to frame in the end last in.
A total of 55 anglers turned out for the Ted Stokes Memorial match on Sunday.
It was run in conjunction with Bottesford and District Angling Association’s Canal Championship.
The prizes and trophy were presented by Ted’s widow Jan and the gathering as a whole made for a truly memorable occasion amongst old friends.
Results: 1 Alf Young 14lb 4oz 8dr, 2 John Brockway 13.07.00, 3 Alan Wright 8.14.08, 4 Mick Calcraft 8.8.00, 5 Barry Wigginton 8.04.00, 6 Mark Parker 7.11.00.

WELL DONE KIDDO you take your chance on a match like that unfortunately i didn't but i gave it ago in fairness i enjoyed the walk about its not very often i get off my box during a match
i headed home around 3ish as the Tank commander is doing a sponsored bike ride from Rothley to Norfolk 100 miles so i got home so she could get out on her bike
i hope it was a good turn out back at the pub as Ted was a truely nice man
