Big fish dominate Ouse final.
Southeast-based team, Maver Image, blitzed last weekends UK Sensas Challenge competition, finishing 15 points clear of runners-up, Tricast Team Wales and third placed Ultimate Barnsley Blacks. All three teams have now qualified for the Sensas Challenge Grand Final, which is to take place in France later this year.
The match took place on Norfolk’s River Great Ouse, with varied but difficult fishing for the 130 competitors. The winning team, made up of Chris Jenkinson, Danny Grimsey John Weedon, Simon Colcough and Chris Vandervleit, built a hefty lead after Day One – being one of very few teams to record five catches.
Sensas Mark One’s Arnie Palmot won the first day with a 17lb 12oz net of bream and tench, while Rob Perkins, fishing for Matrix Dynamite Trentmen, won the second day with a bream and a tench for 11lb 15oz.
In the individual stakes, Rikki Richards, fishing for Fosters Team Army, won the overall event with three points, seeing off challenges from Will Freeman in second and Ben Roberts in third.
