Personally think that next year given the same conditions on tidal trent..... as this season....then the float teams will fare better then an out n out feeder attack.
Avin said that.....given current climate owts possible as most of 2012 tidal was a washout ...... Unless you were targettin the Whiska's  ;)

THIS HAS BEEN A GREAT TOPIC
fishing is what it is nowadays its fragmented and very disjointed
Until someone or some group seat around a table face to face and relaunch and sell Team fishing to sponsors and the Angler i'm afraid its only going one way :-/ :-/ :-/

Just to put the record straight Shakespeare also won Div One on the Basingstoke Canal making four in recent times.

I also believe over these four wins they have quite remarkably not won as much as one section. Now that are what I call proper team efforts.

Over the years many England Internationals have 'cut their teeth' on the narrow canals. The obvious two in recent times are Stuart Conroy and former World Champion Sean Ashby.

There are many, many more and I am sure you can add a few to this list, I can think of Kingfisher off this site (Tony Scott) and to me the best that there has ever been Kevin Ashurst. These are just for starters. Image Image
