it is brilliant roach fishing Lee, mind you those big skimmers are a must to win, even the roachmeister kingfisher had some last weekend. I think he's kidding us when he says he can't catch them. I think Tony's proving why he fished for England all them years ago. sat behind me today for a while and gave me so much food for thought.

Saturdays match was a bit harder, probably due to a couple of frosts and cold nights but still a cracking match which nearly everyone had a chance of framing.
1st Matt Hall 14lb 9oz
2nd Nigel Bull 14lb 3oz
3rd Alistair Chisholm 14lb
4th John Eccles 12lb 5oz
5th Steve Pierrepont 11lb 12oz
6th Tony Scott 11lb 4oz
7th Wayne Swinscoe 10lb 13oz
8th Andy Taft 10lb 11oz
9th Steve Polki 10lb 4oz
10th Dean Guest 9lb 9oz
A cracking tight match, fish caught all over the lake.
Next Match this Wednesday, looks like there may be a few more on it this Wednesday ( are you fishing this week Joff?) and Saturdays match is filling up too.

ok, no worries, just let me know whenever you want to come. Hope everything goes ok with your Mum.
Yeah, it was a good match, not like the one I fished there on the other lakes yesterday, 138lb won, 32lb 2nd, proper winter carp bingo.

I was there on Sunday Andy, i fished the old Canal. I maybe had 5lbs or so. First time iv'e fished there. A few skimmers and roach and a fish that looked like a Chub/Roach hybrid.
I also came for a walk round on the Saturday. Alistair Chsholm was catching well at the time. Gonna try and get on the 23rd Nov match.

I like the old canal, lots of silvers in there ( you should see the size of roach we catch when fishing pellet shallow in the summer on the carp matches!!!!) That fish was probably an ide, but there are loads of big chub in there.
Peg 2 where Alistair was is a favoured peg but there doesn't seem to be many of the big skimmers on it at the moment, probably a bit too warm and it's a brilliant carp peg so they may push them out.

Saturday 16th Nov
1st Andy Taft 11lb 14 oz
2nd Ian Robinson 11lb 11oz
3rd John Eccles 11lb 3oz
4th Lee Bennett 10lb 10oz
5th Sean Gordon 10lb 4oz
6th Nigel Bull 9lb 9oz
Not sure off the top of my head after that cos Brooksy has got the sheet to give the result to the papers.
Everyone caught though ( 17 fished) worse weight was 5lb odd.
the weather has curbed the weights a bit but everyone is catching and it's making for good close matches.
next match this Wednesday, so give me a call if you're interested.
