Well that upset the league a bit. Well done to Eclipse and to Darren for a great bag of fish.
Has Alan sorted the sections out yet for the last round?

Mark, not so long back the stretch was electro fished as an excercise for the students at Rodbaston College. It only needs a very light charge to bring pike to the surface and about a dozen of them all came up together in the same swim, edge of the stick-ups. they were virtually identical to one another in size and colouration. 11 lb each. No other pike came to the surface but the odd carp did.
I went up there on Friday, never saw any evidence of pike by the boat club. Saw a couple of bream 'nose' out of the water just upstream of the garage. there was a good colour in the canal though and boats were going through. Even had a 'crosser' when I was walking

This Final Round was fished on the Host club Waters on the Shropshire Union Canal using four sections at Little Onn / High Onn and two sections on the Goodyears waters at Rye Hill.
The day was a really nice sunny winters Day, The Boat traffic was quite light and the two sections at rye hill were very clear, with a tinge more colour at little and high onn,
I got the draw under way at 8.30am...... then, i dont know why or if this has ever
happened to any other match organisors, as i started to record the draw , section letters and numbers etc, i did about four teams, then started to have a panic attack lol, i was sure i had alredy written down some of the numbers etc on other teams sheets , Totaly convinced that i had duplicated the matrix numbers i told Macca, n Roundy, as we were all heading for the Canal i thought any minute now my Mobiles gunna be on fire, ..............but thankfully it was all fine, Phewwww.
The fishing in this league as on the whole been , well pretty darn good with Wait for it ...............1,674lb of fish caught over the Six rounds, which says a hell of a lot for our shallow narrow canals well done guys.
plus all this was achieved without the wonder bait ,
