Phil B , purely so that marital harmony and sweet tea can resume I can give you a ( partial ) report on activities at my peg - as you recognise I had set myself the heady target of beating my previous result of 4 perch = 3 oz , well I can now let the cat out of the bag and say that I failed hopelessly , weighed in 1 perch but it did bounce the weigh basket down to 2oz 12 drams and thus very nearly represented progress BUT as I am always looking for the positives I can conclude that I had come across a ( singular ) better stamp of perch .
