looking for a club

hello I am looking for a club to join that fishes matches on Sundays ether on canals, pools or both as I want to get in to match fishing properly, or even teams events if any one could be of help I would be very grateful

are you after serious match clubs or fun clubs simular to cashmores were they enjoy the banter.

If its the fun club then look for hawkins. The are based in cheslyn hay (or were, i havent fished with them for years) They still have their own lake which is at the side the lakes nursing home on stafford road near bloxwich . Im not sure who runs it now but im sure if you ask about some one will give you a contact for them or keep a look out on their water as they fish sunday matches on there and they also fish mid week night matches

The Railway Tavern is a local club, they have 10 matches per year, all on a Sunday, mixture of Commy's and canals, they are on Issac Walton pool in Bloxwich on Sunday, come down speak to the lads they always make you welcome

yes thats them mate. Im sure their number use to be on the sign as you go in. Isaac walton is the pool i was describing in my first reply

one of the old organisers was john and he was at the last canal championship that you were at the other week, the other one was bob but ive heard that a lad called Billy as taken over. If its the billy who used to fish for them (a plumber) then he's a great lad.

Bob is still involved with Hawkins, Nobby is the guy who seems to be more active with the club now (It is the Plumber your thinking of) John (that's me now fishes for the Railway tavern)
