Got a feeling it was Div 3 national round here. As Sven says it is around Acton somewhere near the Moat Inn.
Think his name was Ashwell, Ashmore or Ash, something like that anyway - not sure where he is from
I think he was third in that National. A chap ftom Kidderminster area won with a huge carp and other fish from next to Rocco's Grotto at Hazelstrine, I think Jonty was second from Roseford and the guy in pic was third.
Dams and Lock won the team and Team GB Four Ashes International Piscatorials Head Bangers were second. Can't remember who were third.

I think I put virtually all the Stafford lengths in with a couple at Acton end of Penkridge for that match- similar to the junior National in 1995. One straight line, - if I remember right it was a pretty decent National - as far as they go. Can't remember how many fished but there were no moans and groans after at all - the dead cheap steak baps after the match may have stopped that though!!!! They were a bit special
