Groundbait mix for natural venue
Hi Guys,
I'm after some advice on targeting a natural venue, in these cold winter months. The estate lake is a couple acres in size, surrounded by woodland. It holds Roach, Perch,Tench but people mainly fish it for the large specimen Carp. It doesn't get heavily fished, and I don't think anyone ...

Sensas Black Dye
Hi Gents,
I've amassed quite a few bags of Sensas groundbaits (Roach, Lake, Magic etc.), through my subscriptions to Match and Pole Fishing magazines. These groundbaits are the usual biscuit brown colour, but black groundbait seems to be a popular winter colour for Silverfish. How effective is the ...

Parallel Extensions
Hi guys
What are peoples views/experiences of using parallel extensions to take poles beyond 16m? Does anyone have any experience of using Shimano's Gen X extension ?
Thanks

Shimano technium 1300 AR butt section?
Hi guys,
Does anyone know for sure if the butt section on the Shimano Technium 1300 Super Strong All Rounder (the new one, 2011) is parallel or not? I'm wondering if I could get away with taking it to 14.5m for Bream/Roach/Perch fishing? I'm not looking to tame margin Carp or anything heroic ...

Slider Float Guide?
Hi guys,
I want to try the slider on a couple of venues I've been pleasure fishing for a while but I'm not too sure on float selection? So to start with, the first is an old 20 acre estate lake, calm most of the time, and the swims are around 10-20ft where I want to try the method. Ranges up to ...

Flat floats
I've bought 5,6 and 8 gram floats and the stretch is around 12ft I've been told (I've not actually visited it yet!). Another water I intend to use them on is around 15ft with a strong current.

Drennan waterproofs
I brought some last week. They are really good (admittedly that is based only on 2 rainy sessions).. It was the breathability that lead me to buy them over prestons df 20 or similar.

Hi guys.
I've bought myself a selection of Crulusso flat floats to try on the Warwickshire Avon. I'm struggling to find anything online which relates to float selection? I would like to know a guide to which size to use in relation to flow and depth? Any help would be appreciated

Hi Guys,
Is anyone on here a member, or know how I could contact the membership secretary? I see they have a few canal matches near to me, so I am considering joining but can't find any details through google?
Thanks guys

Canal Club Matches
Thanks mate. I'll give Hodnet and Staffs IW a look. I'm a member of Kinver Freeliners, and the club only rent the stretches out. The club don't run any matches at all in fact unfortunately.

Hey Guys,
Are there any clubs out there, in the Shropshire area, who hold regular canal matches? I'm looking to start fishing a few next year
Thanks in advance.

Loam Instead of Leam?
The water I've been using leam in my grounbait is actually a reservoir with a strong current when they are pumping. It is quite like fishing a river at times !!
